My years of academic and medical training have made me proficient in writing, proofreading, summarizing and editing medical literature such as research papers, patient records, medical journals and case reports.

As a doctor who also considers herself innately both a teacher and student at the same time, I am also well-versed in writing informative articles for health education and promotion, making powerpoint presentations for lecture purposes or case/grand round presentations, and making test questions for exams in medicine (particularly in pediatrics).

Disease prevention is my personal advocacy, so I encourage the people around me to have an active and healthy lifestyle. Contributing to the literature on health promotion and preventive medicine is a venture that I presently want to focus more on.

Apart from medicine, my interest in literature also includes poetry, prose and fiction, being an avid reader and occasional writer of such.

I am particularly interested in opportunities for writing or reviewing articles for health education and proofreading/editing written works, medical and non-medical alike. My passion for words has made it natural for me to take a second look (and if needed, make corrections) when I encounter wrong spelling, mismatched subject-verb agreement and tangential phrases, to ensure ease of content comprehension.

I have experience in community research and psychology research.

My latest research was entitled "A QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF AN INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON THE KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, AND PRACTICES OF PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS ON DENGUE FEVER IN TWO BARANGAYS IN METRO MANILA", which won 1st place in a local inter-hospital research contest in December 2011.

I was editor-in-chief for our university yearbook in medical school, paving the development of the proofreading machine in my brain. :) Content was largely non-medical at that.
