how much does a web designer make ?

I will have obtained my Associates degree in Web Development & Interactive Media in the Spring of 2012 and I'd love to hear back from any person in that field -- I mean like how does one live - as a designer I know we are not starving artists but I'd love to know How much will I be making in that field?

This is a tough question. If you work full time for a business, you'll make a relatively normal salary. Probably around $35,000 to $50,000 starting salary.

If you freelance full-time, you can make very good money depending on your skills and ability to land clients.

Web design isn't something you need a degree for, except for some corporate jobs.. it is all about your skills and portfolio. If you're already building websites for yourself or freelancing some while in school, you should have the real world skills to make money with web design .. if not, you'll have a lot of difficult breaking into the real world.
